Siamaya Chocolate

Siamaya Chocolate was created in Chiang Mai in 2017 by Neil Ransom, who learned every step of chocolate making from scratch. Siamaya is dedicated to utilizing direct trade with Thai cocoa farmers, paying 2.5 times the usual rate, and making their own base chocolates from those locally sourced Thai cacao beans. In return, they require the farmers work pesticide free and follow a strict no burn policy in order to guarantee that the cacao plantations work sustainably alongside the local nature. Equally committed to diversity and education, Siamaya also ensures an equal balance of male and female employees as well as teaching local student workshops on chocolate making and starting a small business with social awareness and sustainability as key values.
