Founded in 2012 by Mike Longman, Chocolarder is one of only a handful of bean-to-bar chocolate makers in the UK, and the only one based in Cornwall. A former pastry chef with Michelin star kitchen experience, Mike was able to echo the practices he learned in those kitchens and apply them to creating sustainable and ethically made chocolate. They believe that if it can't be done sustainably, they won't do it. This applies not just to the mitigating the harm caused by production by using only plastic free packaging and eliminating all palm oil and emulsifiers, but also leading the way in zero-carbon, slavery-free and compostable or recyclable materials in the craft chocolate sector.
