Located high in Utah’s Wasatch Mountain range in the heart of the Rockies, Amano is family-run and one of the first craft chocolate companies established in the United States. Founder, Art Pollard, discovered his passion at a chocolate shop in Hawai'i, where he realized there was a whole level of chocolate he'd never been exposed to. Thus, Art was inspired to create Amano, one of the most successful confection companies in the world, which has won 150 1st place awards in national and international competitions. Art loves getting to take his finished craft chocolates back to the farmers who grew the cocoa beans, which speaks to the definition of "Amano"; it means both “by hand” and “they love” in Italian.
